You say you wonder if hunters familiarity with parsons puts him ahead of the other 2, perhaps they feel comfortable enough with parsons and know/think they can get him with Washington pick?

I would be happy if they took Gustavsson with the 30th and Parsons with Washington's pick in the 2nd if he falls that far. Pretty thin with G prospects.....

I am growing more and more comfortable with the idea of trading for Andersen. He might not be that elite goalie everyone wants the Leafs to grab, but could he be as good as a Corey Crawford?

Man, I can't wait for this draft to be finished with so we can finally have something real to talk about and bloggers to blog about.

Every day it seems most blogs are just reapeating themselves on things we already know. the draft and free agency will give us a month of good stuff, then back to boring again till September.

Which goalie does Spatso think we should take?

Drafting goalies is tough. Can't see them using two 2nd rounders on goalies.

Trade for one and draft one.

Yup. I'd be happy if they went with who was there at 56 or 62 unless they are really high on a guy at 30 or 31.

It is tough, but if you (meaning Hunter) really believe both can be starters, why not draft both? I would think a starting goalie would be more valuable than a top 4 D if we had to make a trade down the road. We have so many picks, it's worth the risk.

Is there someone you are really keen on at 30, 31, and 57?

It would need to be JVR going the other way, which means Anaheim would need to add to the deal. Not sure what though.

I think one of the 30th or 31st picks will get dealt, either in a trade for an established young player or to move up.

I can't wait for July 1st to come and go and moves to be made so we can finally start speculating on what our lineup will actually look like come October.

This team still needs picks. They have a lot of nice looking prospects but not all will pan out. Better to over saturate the pipeline than fill it half way.

I don't like that. I would rather obtain a stop gap that would cost a heck of alot cheaper and parlay JVR into picks and/or prospects. We aren't contending anytime soon so why the rush?

In the Calgary thread, someone was floating #6 for JVR with some moving pieces. I would be open to that.

We could also kick the tires on Lindholm and see what else it would take to get him along with JVR. Lindholm is great and will be an elite defenceman, but Anaheim also want to win now with Getz, Perry, etc.

Well according to them and all those other dinks we value him and others way too much so it would have to be JVR + for Fowler.(frank) them.
